Anna has lived in Washington since 2023, after moving down from Iowa City. She decided to move to Washington after seeing the downtown area and the great sense of community that the town has to offer. Anna loves the friendliness of the small-town and has been enjoying all of the events put on by the community. Anna (26) is currently a graduate student and teaching assistant at the University of Iowa, pursuing an M.A. in Anthropology. Teaching a course each semester has allowed her to see the impact of Iowa’s K-12 education on students seeking higher education. Anna would like to ensure that all Iowa students receive an affordable and quality education, from preschool to college and beyond.

Prior to attending graduate school, Anna earned a bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma. While attending her undergraduate institution, she served as treasurer for the Constitutional Studies Student Association. During her studies and experience with the Constitutional Studies Student Association, Anna learned a lot about public policy, law, and foreign affairs.
